Friends of the Joseph Branch
The Joseph Branch is the historic name of the railroad linking the Northeast Oregon communities of Elgin, Wallowa, Enterprise and Joseph, now known as the Wallowa Union Railroad.
The mission of the Friends of Joseph Branch is to:
- promote the preservation & enhancement of the Joseph Branch railroad line
- assist with the operation of the Eagle Cap Excursion Train
- preserve, protect and display historic railroad artifacts
- promote public enjoyment of the landscape surrounding the Joseph Branch
- develop public facilities, information and appreciation for the Joseph Branch railroad, its preservation, enhancement and operation
Join the Friends JB and become a volunteer car host, conductor or engineer. Or, assist with passenger car restorations and upgrades, history preservation and other projects that enhance the operation of the railroad.
