Excursions Departing From Elgin

Exit Interstate 84 at La Grande and follow Highway 82 to Elgin. In the center of Elgin, when the highway curves sharply east, go straight instead, between the Chevron station and the Opera House and past the City Hall to the loading area at 300 N. 8th Street.

Two alternate routes to Elgin is Oregon Highway 204 over Tollgate from Weston

and the Wallowa Lake Highway from Wallowa County to Elgin. You can access Wallowa County coming from the north on

Highway 3 to Enterprise.
